As Miss Adler should; Godfrey is, after all, hers. I'm glad I get to have as much of his attention as I do, I'm quite flattered he deems me worthy of it *smiles* Kate dear, I get the feeling I've missed out on quite a lot. I won't push if you don't want to say, and please feel free to let me know if I overstep my bounds, but if you ever need a willing ear... *bites my lip* I don't like the thought of you hurting, love. Also, don't worry about any work I've done; no need at all.

I quite fancy him too *laughs* He's a sweetheart. I've always been good with dogs, my family loves them. *takes a sip of tea* How are things with Harriet, dear? How's the wedding planning going? If she's feeling... not quite herself, maybe working helps her. Gives her something to focus on, something productive, perhaps? I was hoping to see her, it feels as though we started on the wrong foot. I would very much like to know her better.

Irene demands devotion from him and, in return, she is fond of him. They are well-suited to each other, the dominatrix and the retired policeman. Both of them have seen London as a battlefield.
I expect to be making an announcement about the wedding soon, but for the time being I will say that your services will no longer be required. You will be compensated for the time you’ve wasted. Perhaps you did not start out well with her, but I think she may be moving out soon, and it will be even harder to find her in a good mood.
She’s at the cafe today, though, if you truly want to see her.

Godfrey fancies you, dear. He whines at the door whenever you leave us, and broods in Irene’s bedroom for the day after. He isn’t quite accustomed to so many friends, like his mistress.
Harriet is working again, yes, and she’s in a rather unstable condition at present. The fact that she attends work regularly is a wonder.

You may come over today, if that works for you. It will indeed be nice to see you, since I’m sure you have holiday pictures to show me; I can show you the ones I took with Harriet in Croatia, if you’d like.
Speaking of Harriet, we’re postponing the wedding. She is still working like a Watson, and hasn’t been home much. Since so much needs to be prepared, we are waiting for at least a month. But, let us talk over what details we can.
I’ll have the tea ready. Godfrey and I will meet you at the door.
